Executive Housekeeper
Job Description
Executive Housekeeper position at Hotel Equities in Coralville, IA (onsite), with a yearly salary range of USD 40,000 to 42,000.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise room attendants to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms.
- Verify daily room cleaner worksheets, notify the front desk of results, and maintain completion boards for every housekeeper.
- Manage short notice room change requests and oversee their prompt execution.
- Inspect all check-out and stay-over rooms after service to confirm adherence to company standards.
- Maintain daily records of room checkouts and stay-overs and submit reports to housekeeping each day.
- Monitor room quality by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned rooms.
- Prepare maintenance work orders for replacement or repair of furniture and fixtures, and follow through to completion.
- Track room status continuously and communicate changes to room cleaners.
- Inspect VIP rooms and early morning make-up rooms.
- Coordinate cleaning priorities based on guest requests, VIP status, check-outs, and expected check-outs.
- Inspect floor linen closets daily for cleanliness, supplies, and linen levels.
- Ensure carts are properly stored and vacuum cleaners are emptied at day end.
- Assist in quarterly linen inventory and safeguards for linen security.
- Keep linen chutes locked to maintain safety standards.
- Coordinate housekeeping activities with front desk, engineering, banquet services, and room service.
- Strive to amaze guests by delivering attentive and courteous service.
- Ensure guests are treated efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in training and directing new department associates.
- Maintain compliance with housekeeping quality standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction.
- Support daily room inventory management to optimize revenue while upholding guest expectations.
- Perform other assignments as directed by the Director of Housekeeping or General Manager.
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies including the associate handbook.

- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong reading and writing skills to facilitate process communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable leading a team with limited direct supervision.
