Job Description
Join Vintel Hotel Spartanburg LLC in Spartanburg, South Carolina as a Guest Room Team Member. This on-site housekeeping role centers on cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms while supporting daily operations, with a strong focus on guest comfort, safety, and sustainable practices. The position offers USD 14 per hour and invites you to contribute to a guest-centered hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and other assigned areas following established standards and procedures, ensuring rooms are ready for occupancy and meet guest expectations.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities to maintain cleanliness and presentation in guest accommodations.
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
- Inspect rooms for damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards, and report findings to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Restock housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to maintain adequate inventory for daily operations.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional towels, toiletries, or other amenities to enhance comfort and satisfaction.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to prevent accidents and the spread of contaminants.
- Adhere to environmental sustainability practices, including proper waste disposal, recycling efforts, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with guests, colleagues, and management, representing the hotel brand and values.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff, front desk associates, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth coordination across departments.
- Adhere to grooming, uniform, and dress code policies.
- Assist with varied projects as assigned and perform other duties as needed.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaning duties throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
- Capacity to lift and carry cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment weighing up to 20–30 pounds to assist with inventory management and restocking.
- Proficiency in reaching, stretching, bending, and stooping to access high shelves, low surfaces, and tight spaces during cleaning and inspections.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and perform detailed tasks such as making beds and folding linens.
- Good vision to read labels and cleaning instructions, assess cleanliness, and identify maintenance issues throughout the hotel environment.
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors and stay aware of safety concerns.
- Sufficient stamina to maintain energy and concentration over long shifts and high volumes of cleaning tasks.
- Ability to move quickly between tasks and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
