Hotel Housekeeper
Job Description
Hotel Leavenworth is seeking a part-time Room Attendant/Housekeeper onsite in Leavenworth, WA.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards
- Replace dirty towels, linens, and bedding with clean supplies
- Make beds and ensure rooms are arranged and ready for arriving guests
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms (toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, floors)
- Vacuum, dust, sweep, and mop guest rooms and other assigned areas
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas including hallways and lobby spaces
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and organizing towels, sheets, and other linens
- Restock guest rooms, housekeeping carts, linen areas, and supplies as needed
- Use standard housekeeping equipment and cleaning products safely
- Follow procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals
- Report maintenance concerns, damage, lost items, or safety hazards to management promptly
- Support housekeeping and laundry area organization and cleanliness
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Protect guest privacy and handle guest belongings with care and professionalism
- Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and co-workers
- Complete cleaning assignments efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with additional housekeeping duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping, room attendant, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic cleaning principles and safe use of cleaning products
- Ability to operate standard equipment such as vacuums and mops
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to maintain consistent room cleanliness standards
- Good time management to complete assigned rooms within established timeframes
- Ability to work independently and also support a small team
- Dependable with a strong attendance record
- Flexible and willing to assist with various hotel duties when needed
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Neat and clean appearance while representing Hotel Leavenworth
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable transportation
- Must be eligible to work in the United States

Benefits
- Starting wage: $19.00 per hour
- Holiday Bonus paid in January
Schedule
- Part-time
- Approximately 4–6 hours per day
- Typical start time: 10:00 AM
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Also available during busy weekdays
- Schedule may vary based on hotel occupancy and business needs
- Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
Safety & Other Responsibilities
- Safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required
- Follow hotel safety procedures, product instructions, and appropriate chemical-handling practices
- Promptly report maintenance issues, damaged property, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to management
- Guest safety, employee safety, and proper handling of hotel property are core responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Medium Work: exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects
- Maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday
- Ability to bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp, and see
- Operate vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs
- Lift and move furniture as needed for cleaning
- Partially lift mattresses weighing up to approximately 155 lbs
- Push a housekeeping cart weighing up to approximately 75 lbs
- Perform repetitive cleaning motions involving arms, hands, and upper body
- Ability to safely perform all required housekeeping and laundry duties
