Hotel Maintenance Engineer

This Major Franchise branded hotel in Lufkin, Texas, is seeking a maintenance professional to keep engineering and property operations running smoothly. In this on-site role, you will handle day-to-day maintenance, support guest needs as they come in, and help ensure equipment stays in good repair while meeting operating standards.

You will be a key point of contact for maintenance calls from guests and other departments, completing scheduled and preventative work across guest rooms and public areas. The work also includes coordinating with teams using hotel systems and maintaining tools, equipment, and workspaces in proper condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily routine and preventative maintenance across hotel rooms and public areas.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls raised by guests or other departments.
• Handle guest requests with courtesy and timeliness, working to resolve issues to the guest’s satisfaction.
• Prioritize maintenance needs, including attending to breakdowns of plant and machinery on priority.
• Complete maintenance tasks in guest rooms and public spaces, including minor electrical equipment, plumbing, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with other departments, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Check for and assign new maintenance requests, inspect completed work, and release rooms back to service using hotel PMS or other software.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and common areas according to schedule to maintain required standards.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
• Train and instruct other staff members by sharing knowledge and skills.
• Support general maintenance and upkeep of the exterior of the facility to keep the property inviting for guests.
• Maintain professionalism with coworkers and residents while working in and around the community.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
