Housekeeper

Hotel McCoy in College Station, TX is looking for a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, well-ordered environment in guest and public spaces. This role supports a comfortable experience for guests and an organized workspace for staff by completing cleaning and sanitizing tasks according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas, and pool-house spaces to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Dust surfaces and clean floors using appropriate tools, including vacuuming and mopping, along with cleaning windows, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Change bed linens and towels, ensuring fresh items are properly arranged for each room.
• Restock guest room and common-area supplies as needed to keep items available and ready for use.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Follow established cleaning and sanitizing procedures to support health and safety requirements.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks when assigned.
• Provide professional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or requests in a courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred, with hospitality or hotel experience considered a plus.
• Beneficial knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently maintain high cleaning standards.
• Effective time management skills, including prioritizing tasks appropriately.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
• Good communication skills to interact positively with guests and staff.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is an advantage.
