Housekeeping Attendant

In this onsite role in Cookeville, TN, you will keep guest-facing areas clean, stocked, and ready while following hotel and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional personal appearance at all times, including proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by the hotel.
• Support guest experience through consistent, service-focused behavior.
• Clean assigned guest rooms in line with company and brand standards.
• Ensure public areas and hallways remain clean and well presented.
• Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and storage rooms.
• Report maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Maintenance, or Front Desk immediately.
• Report missing, damaged, or broken hotel property to a supervisor or Front Desk immediately after discovery.
• Tag lost and found items and turn them in to management.
• Deliver guest belongings found after check-out to Front Desk or Management for lost and found processing.
• Provide guest assistance when needed, whenever possible.
• Greet guests when in visible contact and maintain a friendly attitude with a smile under all circumstances.
• Clean the break room, guest laundry, vending areas, and other assigned locations.
• Follow all safety and security policies in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain integrity and a strong moral work ethic.
• Work as part of a team and demonstrate a “can do” attitude.
• Complete additional duties assigned by a supervisor or hotel manager as necessary.
• Participate in cross-training as a Laundry Attendant/Houseman to provide assistance as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain cleanliness standards across guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
• Comfort reporting maintenance and property issues immediately to the appropriate contact.
• Familiarity with housekeeping lost and found procedures, including tagging items and delivering them to management.
• Professional presentation, including wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
• Commitment to safety and security policy compliance.
• Friendly guest interaction, including greeting guests when in visible contact.
