Housekeeping Manager

Join Barker's Island Hotel LLC in Superior, WI as a Housekeeping Manager on site, overseeing daily housekeeping operations and the teams that keep rooms, laundry, and public areas running smoothly. This position focuses on consistent cleanliness, strong team leadership, and reliable execution of policies that support guest service, labor standards, and safety.

As the person responsible for department performance, you will manage housekeeping workflows, maintain compliance with company and hotel brand procedures, and ensure the property reflects the quality guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping, laundry, and public area team members, including the authority to interview, select, set pay, discipline, make formal termination recommendations, and investigate and adjudicate complaints
• Ensure guests receive consistently superior room and public area cleanliness
• Monitor and oversee the department budget, including payroll and product inventories
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Assist in monitoring and upholding procedures for control of supplies and keys
• Establish and run a daily room inspection program
• Ensure department reporting is completed promptly and accurately
• Maintain the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position in the department
• Maintain an accurate lost and found log and uphold related policies and procedures
• Handle chemicals and cleaning supplies with care and in accordance with required standards
• Operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment
• Complete additional responsibilities assigned by leadership
