Housekeeping Porter/Laundry Attendant

Clarion Hotel by Choice Hotels in Ormond Beach, FL is hiring a Housekeeping Porter/Laundry Attendant onsite to support daily room service and laundry operations. In this full-time role, you will help collect and process guest linens, maintain clean public areas, and run laundry tasks according to hotel standards while keeping customer service and quality at the center of every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect guest linen from room attendants and process dirty linen brought to the laundry.
• Clean public areas and help create an environment where high standards of customer service and quality are maintained for guests.
• Sort linens for washing and apply stain removers where needed.
• Operate washers and dryers safely.
• Fold all linen to hotel standards.
• Wash banquet linen.
• Wash bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets according to instructions.
• Keep the laundry area neat and clean.
• Check daily needs of the banquet and restaurant departments.
• Assist in other areas when laundry is slow or when work is caught up.
• Comply with all safety requirements of the job.
• Respond to guest requests within 10 minutes of the call.
• Put customer needs first while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Speak professionally with every employee and guest you come in contact with.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Guest relation skills.
• Adaptability.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hotel housekeeping experience desired; will train.
• Physical requirements include regular sitting, standing, bending, walking, using hands to finger or feel objects/tools/controls, and lifting boxes and luggage up to 50 pounds; must also be able to talk and hear.
• Vision abilities required to see dirt and hair.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Team-focused attitude with pride in providing great guest service.
