Housekeeping Room Attendant

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will contribute to the property’s high standards by cleaning guest rooms, restocking essentials, and promptly reporting any maintenance needs to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Set up the housekeeping cart with the necessary supplies at the start of each shift.
• Greet guests warmly and professionally when you encounter them.
• Remove used linens, towels, and amenities from guest rooms.
• Make beds and replace linens.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and baseboards.
• Vacuum and sweep floors.
• Wash windows, tracks, and glass surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch areas such as light switches, remotes, and doorknobs.
• Restock linens, towels, and guest amenities according to hotel standards.
• Clean balconies, patios, and outdoor spaces if applicable.
• Ensure proper use and care of housekeeping equipment and tools.
• Respond promptly to special guest requests, such as extra linens or toiletries.
• Immediately report maintenance deficiencies, broken items, or safety hazards.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials.
• Adhere to hotel safety, security, and sustainability policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including housekeeping storage areas.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Represent the hotel in a consistently professional and positive manner.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Regular bending, kneeling, reaching, and stooping.
• Pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Lifting 20-30 pounds intermittently throughout the workday.
• Repetitive use of hands and arms for tasks such as scrubbing, wiping, and folding.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and wear required protective equipment.
