Housekeeping Supervisor

Hotel Chequamegon offers an onsite Housekeeping Supervisor role in Ashland, WI, with an hourly pay range of $16.00 to $18.00. You will lead cleaning and sanitation operations while supporting a team that takes pride in delivering consistently high standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

What you’ll do

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks across multiple areas.
• Lead, motivate, and manage housekeeping staff to maintain efficient performance and adherence to quality standards.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff productivity to meet operational goals.
• Enforce safety regulations and sanitation procedures to help maintain a safe working environment in line with health standards.
• Perform regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance standards are met or exceeded.
• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
• Collaborate with management on cleaning and sanitation management strategies that improve efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

What you bring

• Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping or custodial services within hospitality or commercial environments.
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning equipment, and janitorial best practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly with staff at all levels.
• Experience managing sanitation procedures aligned with safety regulations and health standards.
• Familiarity with laundry operations and hospitality industry requirements is preferred.
• Ability to oversee multiple cleaning projects at the same time while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
• Prior management experience in commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
