Housekeeping Supervisor

In this on-site role in San Diego, CA, you will lead the housekeeping team to keep a newly opened Tru & Home2 Suites by Hilton property clean, guest-ready, and operating smoothly. Your work will focus on room inspections, team coaching, and daily coordination to support consistent service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect every guest room to confirm cleanliness, safety, and presentation meet Company standards.
• Ensure rooms are properly stocked, in good repair, and prepared to create a strong first impression for arriving guests.
• Share inspection findings and required corrections with Room Attendants.
• Reinspect rooms as needed to verify that identified concerns have been resolved.
• Assist with daily planning of room assignments, prioritizing early arrivals, VIPs, and extended-stay guests.
• Maintain accurate room status and communicate updates with the housekeeping and front desk teams throughout the day.
• Support, coach, and encourage the housekeeping team during each shift while leading by example.
• Report maintenance concerns, damages, lost-and-found items, and safety issues.
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms or public areas when operational needs require it.
• Maintain linen rooms, housekeeping closets, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow hotel policies and safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning products and equipment.
• Support housekeeping leadership with daily operations, training, and other assigned responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Hotel housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or room inspection experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to quickly and accurately identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to provide clear, professional, and respectful direction to team members.
• Reliability and ability to perform in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Basic computer or hotel room-management system experience is helpful.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stretch.
• Ability to push and pull fully loaded housekeeping carts throughout the property and lift up to (40) lbs on a regular basis.
• Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation

Salary: USD 25 - 25 per hourly.
