Laundry Attendant
Job Description
Bring fresh, spotless linens to life in an on-site laundry role that supports outstanding housekeeping standards. At Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel in Worley, ID, you will help ensure towels and linens are clean, stain-free, and ready for guest satisfaction and repeat visits. The work is fast-paced and hands-on, with a focus on prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional service to guests and fellow employees.
What you’ll do
- Stay on your feet and move through shift duties quickly and quietly, remaining focused from start to finish.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed while moving linens and supplies.
- Retrieve linens from laundry carts and collect linens from hotel corridors and the hotel pool.
- Start washers and dryers and monitor cleaning and drying operations to maintain consistent results.
- Separate all linen prior to washing, then select the correct wash cycle for each load.
- Recheck linens for stains after washing and before items are placed into the dryer.
- Presoak, sterilize, scrub, and spot clean stained articles as required.
- Examine and sort articles into batches based on color, fabric, dirt content, and the cleaning technique needed.
- After drying, sort, count, and fold, wrap, or hang items for airing out or delivery.
- Discard worn, torn, or stained linen and record details in the appropriate log.
- Distribute clean articles to designated areas and ensure housekeeping closets stay properly stocked.
- Clean, maintain, and organize the laundry room and linen storage areas, including laundry equipment.
- Assist House Person and Housekeeping Attendants when necessary, and complete other assigned projects.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work well with little or no supervision
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and stay productive at all times
- Comfort working in a team environment
- Recognize and resolve problems quickly
- Follow directions; if something is unclear, ask for clarification
- Maintain a calm, courteous, friendly, and professional approach when working with the public
Physical demands and vision
- Frequently required to stand, walk, work in confined areas, perform repetitive tasks, push, pull, twist, and reach above shoulder height
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Work may include tasks that require hands for finger, handle, or feel, plus talking or hearing
Compensation
USD 20 per hourly
