Maintenance Engineer

Onsite Maintenance Engineer role in Maitland, FL with Rebel Hotel Company. This position supports the smooth day-to-day operation of hotel equipment and facilities by completing preventive maintenance, responding to guest service needs through work orders, and carrying out safe trade work across multiple departments. You will also help maintain readiness by promptly investigating alarms and communicating findings to the Front Desk.

What you’ll do

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment as assigned.
• Handle guest requests and other work orders, including routine updates like changing out light bulbs.
• Complete preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including tasks such as vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Support preventative maintenance across key systems and spaces, including ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and the hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair and laundry equipment repair, along with preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply.
• Monitor energy conservation practices while performing maintenance work.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms by determining the exact location and cause, identifying emergency status, and reporting findings to the Front Desk.
• Complete other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

• Have access to back of house areas and sensitive information.
• Interact with guests and/or colleagues, including the potential for occasional unsupervised contact.
• Maintain access and control for sensitive areas and assets, including the Hotel Safe, Master Keys and/or guestrooms, Storage/Liquor Room, and secured file cabinets.
• Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons when required.
• Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility, representing the company with good character and sound judgement.
