Night Auditor

At Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, MO, the overnight team helps keep every detail running smoothly for the next day. This role supports accurate front office accounting and a welcoming guest experience during late-night hours. What you’ll do overnight

• Review front office accounting records for accuracy, then summarize details for the hotel’s financial records.
• Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.
• Prepare summaries of cash, check, and credit card activity that reflect daily financial performance.
• Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts, including transactions not posted during the day.
• Verify day charges are properly assigned to the correct guest folio or master account.
• Process guest charges vouchers and credit card vouchers.
• Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts and confirm charges are assigned to the appropriate departments.
• Ensure front desk transactions include documentary evidence and required signatures.
• Print and file reservations for the next business day.
• Monitor coupon, discount, and other promotional program status.
• Complete check-ins and check-outs, and assist with wake-up calls as needed.
• Summarize results of operations for management and balance daily charges, making corrections when necessary.
• Respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints.
• Maintain the ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Support additional duties as assigned at any time.

What you bring

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year of hotel front desk experience.
• Understanding of basic principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
• Knowledge of how to operate front office equipment.
• Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
