Restaurant Host - Prime Rib

As a Restaurant Host for Prime Rib at Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland, you set the tone for every guest who walks through the restaurant doors. In this onsite role in Hanover, MD, you will balance friendly hospitality with practical support for the dining room team to help services run smoothly from start to finish.

You will manage guest flow at the host stand by welcoming parties, seating guests efficiently, and coordinating with front-of-house staff. The position also supports day-to-day cleanliness and resets throughout service, while maintaining a focus on the safety and security of both employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, then seat them in appropriate locations.
• Assign wait staff to service guests in their designated sections.
• Answer phones, greet customers, and track seat availability in the restaurants.
• Assist wait and bar staff as needed to support efficient service.
• Help with bussing and resetting tables.
• Clean the host area and the entrance to the restaurant.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.

Requirements

• Upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude.
• Fluent, professional communication in English.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team-player mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Customer service experience dealing directly with customers.
• Flexible schedule, with willingness and ability to be flexible with work hours; may include extended hours and workweeks at times.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while assisting guests.
• Use of stairs and elevators.
