Restaurant Server - PT

The Platinum Hotel is seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Server to support service for both the restaurant and room service areas during a morning shift in Las Vegas. The position includes menu service, guest support, and coordination across FOH and BOH.

Position Overview

Provide food and beverage service for the hotel’s restaurant and room service areas. The scheduled shift runs 7:00am to 11:45am, and the role includes weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to deliver dishes with the expected presentation and service standards.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout service.
• Use the POS system efficiently to support accurate order processing.
• Transport and polish clean wares, utensils, and accessories to the areas needed for service.
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking skills and help bridge service between FOH and BOH.
• Complete required opening and closing duties, including running side work tasks as assigned.
• Maintain direct, consistent communication with the culinary team and management.
• Listen to and address customer concerns related to service, product, and personnel.
• Support and process service responsibilities for other service staff, such as servers and bartenders.
• Expedite service in the absence of the Chef or F&B Manager.
• Verbally describe and present the hotel’s food offerings in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid alcohol awareness card and food handler card.
• Ability to read, write, and speak verbally in English.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department management, staff, personnel, and the general public.
• High school or equivalent education.
• 1 year or more of service experience.

Compensation and Benefits

• $14 per hour plus tips and service charge.
