Job Description
The Room Attendant role at Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle, WA is essential for maintaining pristine guest rooms and ensuring guests receive fresh linens, towels, and necessary amenities while upholding high cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned guest rooms within the designated time limits.
- Update daily assignment sheets as work progresses.
- Return the assignment sheet and keys to the Housekeeping Supervisor at the end of the shift.
- Change bed linens and make beds.
- Replenish room supplies including amenities, drinking glasses, and clean linen.
- Lift and move furniture within the room as needed.
- Vacuum rugs and carpets and clean upholstered furniture with appropriate cleaners.
- Dust and clean all furnishings such as picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, armoires, and desks.
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area, including shower or tub, sink, floor, and toilet.
- Polish woodwork and metal fixtures.
- Clean windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets and replenish bathroom supplies and terry.
- Sort, count, fold, and distribute linen to linen closets.
- Organize and stock the cleaning cart and linen closets on assigned floors.
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Conduct deep cleaning projects in guest rooms in accordance with the hotel's Deep Cleaning program.
- Clean hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, locker rooms, and other work areas as needed.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to meet health standards.
- Turn in Lost & Found items following standard procedures.
- Follow the hotel's emergency procedures and stay informed about loss prevention guidelines.
- Report maintenance issues and required room repairs; ensure rooms with issues are not released to inventory until addressed.
- Maintain a clean work area upon completion of duties.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Requirements

Physical Demands
Work is performed indoors with climate control; the role typically involves spending a majority of time inside. The environment is moderately tempered by hotel systems. Staff may need to stand and perform tasks with steady pace for up to four hours at a time, maneuver concurrently across multiple tasks, and reach into confined spaces. Lifting up to 45 lbs and pushing or pulling carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs may be required. The role demands good dexterity, vision, and hearing, with frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching to complete cleaning tasks. Continuous communication with staff and guests is essential.

Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards is essential. Irregular attendance or tardiness may lead to disciplinary action up to termination. Upon employment, staff must comply with Azul Hospitality rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities.
