Job Description
Part-time Room Attendant/Housekeeper at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center in College Station, TX.
Responsibilities
- Daily changing of soiled linens on beds and remaking beds following the property standards.
- Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms, furnishings, hallways, and restrooms.
- Keep the work cart, storage closets, and other work areas orderly and properly stocked at all times.
- Proper utilization and care of equipment, devices, supplies, and guest amenities.
- Strict follow through on lost and found procedures; no articles should ever be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guests' property should always be exercised.
Requirements
- Housekeeping experience desirable
- Neat, pleasant personality
- Time management skills
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
- Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans and dusters
- Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Benefits
- Starts at $14.00 per hour, increases to $15.00 per hour after first 6 months
- Starting pay may increase to $15 based on experience with a raise to $16 after first 6 months
- Once qualified, trainers make $1 more per hour when training
- Overnight positions start at $15 instead of $14

Schedule
- Part-time: 8-29 hours per week depending on level of business forecast
- Days of week and weekend scheduling will vary based on level of business forecast
- Shift: approximately 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM; weekends required
- Training period up to 90 days with option to go full-time

Housekeeping Department includes roles such as Room Attendant, House Attendant, and Lobby Attendant, responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards in assigned guest rooms and public areas to ensure guest satisfaction. We are hiring part-time and full-time Room Attendants to work 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM shifts.
