Room Attendant - Housekeeper

This onsite role at the Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, MA focuses on cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to established standards, with a defined growth path toward supervisory leadership within Housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, courteous greeting during every interaction.
• Clean guest rooms to the hotel’s standards within the designated time frame using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities as needed.
• Polish and dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces; remove dust from walls and equipment.
• Notify management of any repairs required in guest rooms.
• Handle items left in rooms in accordance with the lost and found policy.
• Adhere to safe work practices, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform housekeeping and lobby attendant duties during periods of short staffing or peak demand.
• Be mindful of guest satisfaction scores and actively work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure an overall high level of guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• English language proficiency required for effective communication.
