Room Attendant/Housekeeping

The Palms Oceanfront Hotel is hiring a full-time Room Attendant to support the Property Operations team. This onsite role focuses on daily cleaning, guest room readiness, and careful handling of supplies, linens, and keys to help ensure each room is properly prepared and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, and service guest rooms daily in line with hotel procedures.
• Stock the cart with guest room supplies at the start of each shift.
• Greet guests with a “Good Morning” (or appropriate greeting for the time of day).
• Replace linens, replenish guest room supplies, and maintain room presentation according to standards set by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays.
• Rearrange furnishings, drapes, and room accessories as required for a uniform arrangement.
• Provide linens and amenities to guests in accordance with the guest room legend.
• Ensure rooms are left in the required uniform arrangement, with the door closed and the room locked.
• Report damage, hazards, repairs needed, and strangers in assigned areas.
• Return items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to the Housekeeping department as Lost and Found, including the date, where the item was found, a description, and the name of the person who found it.
• Maintain responsibility for all keys signed out for the shift.
• Clean corridors and service areas.
• Respond to housekeeping projects or requests developed by Housekeeping management.
• Replace light bulbs when necessary.
• Restock the cart at the end of the shift and organize the linen closet to prepare for the next day.
• Complete other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must be located in Isle of Palms, SC 29451 (required).

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: From $18.00 per hour
