Banquet Manager

Crowne Plaza Albany - The Desmond Hotel is hiring an experienced Banquet Manager onsite in Albany, NY to lead banquet operations and ensure events run successfully.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring event details, staffing needs, and menus are communicated clearly to the team.
• Direct banquet room setup, oversee event service, and manage breakdown activities to help deliver guest expectations.
• Monitor food and beverage service quality, including presentation and adherence to service standards.
• Complete Banquet Manager opening and closing duties, including required reports and event billing, accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management (or equivalent experience in banquet operations).
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the hotel and/or food service industry.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• TIPS certification (current) or a comparable hospitality industry certification, with ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Verifiable professional references demonstrating leadership, reliability, and commitment to guest service.

Compensation

• USD 62,400 - 65,000 per year
