Bartender

Join The Mark Hotel in New York, NY (onsite) as a Bartender and deliver a consistently great drinking experience for bar and restaurant guests. This role offers weekly compensation of $800 to $1,600, with pay including tips alongside the hourly rate.

What you’ll do

• Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Welcome guests, interact professionally, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customer needs and preferences and recommend drinks accordingly
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present the bar menu
• Check guest identification and confirm legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies to keep service running smoothly
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

What you bring

• Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
• Relevant training certificate
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus

Schedule and physical requirements

• May be required to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Available to work late nights, holidays, and long days as necessary

Education and experience

• High School diploma
• Two years of prior front of the house experience in a high volume, upscale dining establishment

Compensation details

$800 to $1,600 per week including tips. Compensation includes both an hourly rate and tips.
