Bartender
Job Description
Join The Mark Hotel in New York, NY (onsite) as a Bartender and deliver a consistently great drinking experience for bar and restaurant guests. This role offers weekly compensation of $800 to $1,600, with pay including tips alongside the hourly rate.
What you’ll do
- Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Welcome guests, interact professionally, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customer needs and preferences and recommend drinks accordingly
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present the bar menu
- Check guest identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies to keep service running smoothly
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
What you bring
- Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
- Relevant training certificate
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
Schedule and physical requirements
- May be required to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Available to work late nights, holidays, and long days as necessary
Education and experience
- High School diploma
- Two years of prior front of the house experience in a high volume, upscale dining establishment
Compensation details
$800 to $1,600 per week including tips. Compensation includes both an hourly rate and tips.
