Breakfast Attendant

This on-site Breakfast Attendant position at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Herriman, Utah supports morning service by setting up and maintaining the breakfast area, assisting guests, and upholding food safety and cleanliness standards. The role offers a pay rate of $13.00 to $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange breakfast buffet stations, keeping items fresh, appealing, and well stocked during service
• Maintain dining areas, food preparation zones, and equipment by cleaning regularly in line with food safety procedures
• Assist guests with menu selections, respond to questions, and provide courteous in-person service to enhance their breakfast experience
• Adhere to sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and comply with health regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warming trays, coffee makers, and other small appliances
• Perform manual tasks such as setting tables, replenishing supplies, and handling cash or POS transactions accurately when needed
• Support teammates during busy periods by assisting with food handling, restocking, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is highly preferred; culinary or banquet experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following safety guidelines
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that makes guests feel valued
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing inventory levels
• Experience with POS systems or cash handling is advantageous
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift weight safely (such as trays or supplies), and perform manual handling tasks comfortably
