What You’ll Get
Compensation for the Cafeteria Attendant (Employee Dining) role is $31.63 per hour.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will help keep staff dining running smoothly by handling food safely, preparing and serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in shared areas. You will transport food between the main kitchen and the cafeteria, store items in designated locations, and follow the production schedule and daily menus.
- Maintain food storage and handling procedures to support food quality and nutritional standards, including portion control and service standards.
- Transport food to and from the main kitchen and cafeteria, and store items in their designated areas.
- Complete basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, and cutting.
- Cook food in quantity based on menu requirements and number of persons to be served.
- Cook or assemble food to order where applicable.
- Portion items, prepare dishes, and serve plates along the cafeteria line.
- Maintain clean work areas by cleaning equipment and utensils, segregating garbage, and setting up and breaking down the shift cafeteria line.
- Clear and bus dining areas, including tables and chairs, while supporting a welcoming staff environment.
- Promote a positive staff atmosphere focused on appreciation and morale.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great communication skills with a customer service ethic.
- English is the primary language used at the hotel; ability to communicate comfortably.
- Proficient knife skills.
- Ability to use equipment including: Griddle/open burner unit, Deep fryer, Microwave, Soft serve frozen dessert machine, Coffee maker and dispenser, Iced tea brewer, and soda and milk dispenser.

- Regular requirements include standing, walking, using hands to handle objects and controls, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
