Cashier

Join HOTEL VALET SERVICES OF OKLAHOMA in Oklahoma City, OK (onsite) as a Cashier. This hourly role pays USD 12–15 per hour and brings together guest interaction, daily restaurant support, and hands-on POS responsibilities.

You will help incoming guests feel taken care of from the moment they arrive, support smooth seating, and ensure orders and payments are handled accurately. The team values a clean, organized workspace and clear communication while delivering a welcoming dining experience.

What you’ll do

• Welcome incoming Guests and help ensure timely seating.
• Connect with Guests and engage in conversation to support a personalized dining experience.
• Use proper phone etiquette when answering calls.
• Bus tables, deliver food to Guests, and complete other daily tasks, including maintaining a clean, orderly cashier area.
• Keep your work area clean and organized, completing assigned cleaning tasks.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Accommodate special needs, including boosters, highchairs, and guest disabilities.
• Take payments, manage the cash drawer, and thank Guests as they leave.
• Use menu knowledge to make informed suggestions to Guests.
• Enter all orders into the POS system, bag orders, and manage takeout orders accurately.
• Solicit feedback about the quality of service and the dining experience.

What you bring

• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to transport and carry objects (such as a high-chair) up to 15 pounds up to 15 times per shift.
• Ability to wipe down table tops and table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
• Ability to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for periods up to four (4) hours.
• Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
• Prior experience as a host, hostess, greeter, maître d, matradee, crew member, team member, customer service, cashier, associate, or other front-of-house part-time restaurant role is highly desirable.
