Job Description
Kompose Boutique Hotel Miami Airport is hiring a Hotel Cleaner to keep guest rooms and public areas clean, sanitized, and ready for every stay.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other assigned hotel areas
- Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest-room amenities
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and room surfaces
- Clean mirrors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces in assigned areas
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms including toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and countertops
- Empty trash and recycling from guest rooms and public areas
- Restock toiletries, tissues, towels, coffee supplies, and other guest amenities
- Inspect assigned rooms and areas for cleanliness, damage, maintenance needs, or missing items
- Report maintenance problems, damaged furnishings, lost property, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow established procedures for guest belongings and lost-and-found handling
- Maintain public restrooms, elevators, corridors, stairways, and common areas
- Assist with cleaning meeting rooms, event spaces, fitness areas, or other facilities when required
- Operate housekeeping tools and equipment safely (vacuums, mops, carts, and cleaning tools)
- Use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies according to safety instructions
- Keep housekeeping carts, supply closets, and storage areas organized
- Restock cleaning products, linens, towels, and guest supplies as needed
- Follow housekeeping schedules and prioritize rooms based on occupancy and guest needs
- Respond courteously to guest requests and communicate professionally with hotel teams
- Follow sanitation, workplace-safety, chemical-handling, and hotel security procedures
- Support deep-cleaning projects and seasonal housekeeping tasks
- Work with housekeeping supervisors, front-desk staff, maintenance personnel, and other hotel staff
- Perform additional cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous hotel housekeeping, cleaning, janitorial, hospitality, or commercial cleaning experience (preferred, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high cleaning standards
- Ability to follow written instructions, cleaning procedures, and safety guidelines
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and complete repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, linens, trash, and equipment as required
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and busy hotel periods
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a hotel housekeeper, room attendant, cleaner, janitor, or housekeeping attendant
- Knowledge of hotel room-cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and products
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Customer-service and communication abilities
- Ability to maintain guest privacy and confidentiality
- Experience in a hotel, resort, boutique hotel, or other hospitality environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stay calm and organized during high-occupancy periods
- Commitment to guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and hospitality
Pay and Schedule
- Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 32.0 per week
- Work location: In person (onsite), Miami, FL
