Oxford Casino · Hotel & Sportsbook is hiring a Dealer/DR Floor Supervisor for an onsite position in Oxford, ME.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, monitor, and control an assigned pit section covering one or more games
  • In the supervisor roll, support customer service delivery while maintaining game integrity to corporate and property-specific standards
  • In the dealer roll, deal required card games and provide outstanding customer service
  • Deal games in accordance with approved Internal Controls and Gaming Regulations
  • Take overall responsibility for a designated area or pit, including answering questions about gaming service activities
  • Safeguard company assets and direct dealers on designated games
  • Oversee play by maintaining constant awareness of activities at assigned game locations; observe and act on suspicious or irregular activity
  • Monitor game status, including player limits, special customers, gains/losses, and dealer performance
  • Control and direct games in progress by monitoring, providing assistance, and correcting dealers as needed
  • Change gaming supplies (cards and dice) when needed
  • Ensure dealers in the assigned section comply with Table Games Department policies and procedures
  • Maintain high standards of customer courtesy on each game and coordinate with casino staff as needed
  • Oversee and report unusual occurrences to the Shift Manager
  • Maintain proper table bank through fills and credits
  • Perform assigned Table Games Department activities in compliance with Systems of Internal Controls and Minimum Internal Control Standards
  • Support daily operations by maintaining casino floor integrity and cleanliness
  • Learn additional games as required by management and demonstrate proficiency to company standards
  • Handle cash transactions and manage game pace; pay winning bets and collect losing bets per house rules
  • Attend required training sessions
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Take steps to prevent minors from gambling or loitering in gambling areas, prevent alcoholic beverage issues, and prevent tobacco purchases
  • Use Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate level of management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Sound technical understanding of games manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify various cheating techniques
  • Completion of a wide variety of specific games training programs (if offered) leading to proficiency in several pit games
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Comprehensive knowledge with ability to be certified on all table games assigned
  • Proficiency in handling cards, cheques, and money; counting and payoff accuracy
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to utilize arms and hands equally to deal all games accurately and proficiently to Oxford standards
  • Ability to freely walk the game to protect company assets
  • Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time
  • All dealers must pass audition and deal Spanish 21 by day 45 and Mini Bac by day 80
  • All full time dealers must deal all core games
  • Must be Title 31 and Problem Gambling certified, and attend annual training
  • Responsible for knowing company/department policies and procedures and Internal Controls
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to review and comprehend player data and documentation and observe guest play
  • Ability to observe games and dealers from a distance (middle of the pit to the table)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Move effectively and efficiently around the pit area to observe play at all tables
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years dealing experience
  • Excellent customer service and excellent verbal communication skills
  • Physical requirements: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force constantly; physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, and reaching

Salary

  • $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
