Executive Housekeeper
Job Description
Join WAUKEE HOTEL LLC in Waukee, IA (onsite) as the person who drives room quality and guest satisfaction across the rooms department. This role leads housekeeping performance with a strong focus on consistent service, safe operations, and product standards, while supporting other management teams to uphold brand and company expectations.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
- Oversee housekeeping, including the laundry department, and ensure training objectives and development plans are completed.
- Inspect every room, every day, and follow the daily checklist.
- Support continuous training by coaching staff, sending employees back to correct errors, and ensuring all associates understand guest service standards.
- Ensure guest service remains the driving philosophy by demonstrating commitment to guest needs and delivering consistent guest service.
- Assist in developing added value customer service programs and recognize good team performance through ongoing reward and recognition.
- Develop and protect operational standards through preventative maintenance, deep-clean scheduling, and ongoing staff involvement.
- Recognize and correct potential safety hazards (for example broken doors or railings, fire hazards) and security problems (for example locking doors after hours).
- Understand and follow key control system policies and procedures, ensuring the entire staff (including new hires) is trained and compliant.
- Have knowledge of daily hotel operations and stay up to date with changes, new procedures, and events.
- Monitor guest service scores, review guest comments, and actively participate in achieving GSS goals.
- Be flexible with work schedule, report to work on time in a proper and clean uniform (including name tag), and handle duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
- Know emergency procedures and understand how to act on them, report unusual occurrences or requests to the manager, and assist fellow associates when possible to improve daily operations.
- Ensure brand and company programs are in place, including ozone machines in every room and door stop policies.

Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Provide proof of insurance.
- Pass as an approved driver (if applicable).

- Pushing/pulling frequently; near vision constantly; far vision constantly; hearing constantly; talking constantly.
- Lifting/carrying up to 50+ lbs.
Schedule and compliance notice: The hotel operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. It may be necessary to move associates from accustomed shifts based on hotel and guest demands. A hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times. Upon employment, all employees must fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
