The housekeeping team at Avid Hotel Melbourne - Viera is seeking a Flexible Housekeeping Attendant to support cleanliness and sanitation across multiple areas of the property. This role involves adapting to different shifts and assigned tasks to align with guest and hotel needs while maintaining consistent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate methods, tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Safely manage chemical agents by following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to help ensure a secure environment.
• Perform sanitation-focused cleaning using vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and floor care methods to support cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Support heavy lifting tasks, such as moving furniture or supplies, in line with safety guidelines and manual handling best practices.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order, using tools efficiently to support productivity during each shift.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly if incidents or safety concerns arise, prioritizing guest safety at all times.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, sanitation checks, and any maintenance issues identified during the shift.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management, custodial work, or janitorial services in hospitality or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and established hotel housekeeping protocols.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly, adhering to SDS guidelines and safe handling practices.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while completing cleaning tasks or moving supplies.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to help maintain a secure environment for occupants.
