Job Description

As a Floor Supervisor in the casino and sportsbook environment, you will supervise and monitor an assigned pit section of one or more games. The role focuses on maintaining customer service standards, supporting game integrity, and helping safeguard company assets in day-to-day table operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for a designated area or pit, including answering questions related to gaming service activities.
  • Safeguard company assets and direct dealers on assigned games.
  • Oversee and report unusual occurrences to the Shift Manager.
  • Maintain constant awareness of activities across all games in assigned locations to observe and respond appropriately to suspicious or irregular activity.
  • Monitor each game’s status relative to player limits, special customers, gains/losses, and dealer performance.
  • Control games in progress by monitoring play, providing assistance, and correcting dealers as needed.
  • Change gaming supplies when needed, including cards and dice.
  • Ensure dealers in your section comply with all Table Games Department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of customer courtesy on each game and coordinate closely with casino staff regarding service expectations.
  • Perform assigned Table Games Department activities in accordance with procedures and compliance requirements, including Systems of Internal Controls and Minimum Internal Control Standards.
  • Maintain proper table bank through fills and credits.
  • Support operational integrity of daily activities and the cleanliness of the casino floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Learn additional games as required by management.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities

  • Attend required training sessions offered.
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Maintain knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the employee’s department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate level of Management.

Requirements

  • Sound technical understanding of games manuals, policies, and procedures, including the ability to identify various cheating techniques.
  • Completion of a wide variety of specific games training programs (if offered) resulting in proficiency in several pit games.
  • Typically acquired through at least two years of multi-game dealing experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of assigned table games and the ability to be certified on all table games assigned.
  • Must be Title 31 and Problem Gambling certified, and attend annual training.
  • Responsibility for knowing all company and department policies and procedures and Internal Controls.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to review and comprehend player data and other necessary documentation, and observe guest play.
  • Ability to observe games and dealers from a distance (middle of the pit to the table).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to move effectively and efficiently around the pit area to observe play at all tables.
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years dealing experience.
  • Excellent customer service ability.

Salary Range

$28.00-$35.00 per hour

Location and Work Setting

Oxford, ME (onsite)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Other physical exertion may include long periods of standing, walking, and reaching.
