Front Desk Agent

Delamar Hotel in Traverse City, Michigan is seeking a Front Desk Agent to welcome guests, manage reservations, and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities while delivering a positive guest experience. This onsite role supports front office operations and represents the hotel to arriving guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank guests in a sincere, friendly manner.
• Check guests in on arrival and out on departure.
• Post charges to the appropriate guest accounts.
• Anticipate and address guests' needs, and resolve their problems and complaints.
• Assist guests with disabilities.
• Answer phones and assist with inquiries.
• Assist the reservations department with taking guest reservations.
• Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a good rapport with fellow employees and reflect a positive attitude.
• Complete all assignments as requested on the daily checklist.
• Comply with company procedures and safety policies.
• Maintain open lines of communication with management.

Requirements

• Previous guest service experience preferred
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Team player
• Physical mobility and stamina
• Ability to follow instructions
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Well groomed, professional, and polite
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
