Job Description

Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is hiring a Front Manager for onsite operations in Lake Charles, LA.

Responsibilities

  • Operate under the direction of the General Manager to plan and supervise daily front-of-house operations.
  • Exhibit conduct aligned with Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide positive, courteous, and professional guest service to guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Direct daily activities of front line staff/unit personnel, including performance evaluation, scheduling coordination for adequate coverage, policy/procedure instruction, and employee disciplinary matters.
  • Consult with employees on daily responsibilities and monitor progress against time-frame expectations to support proper production.
  • Oversee all operations within the buffet.
  • Develop and implement standards of quality and performance; determine required product quantities (purchases or requisitions) and verify inventory per company guidelines.
  • Ensure product quality and investigate service complaints.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain records for purchases, sales, labor, and requisitions.
  • Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize, and retain direct reports who support excellence in business operations and guest service.
  • Stay current on trends and practices within the scope of responsibility and share relevant updates with management, peers, direct reports, and employees.
  • Promote positive public and employee relations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within assigned areas.
  • Safeguard confidential information across employee, department, and company records.
  • Support responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Provide prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline regarding observed illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of F&B management experience in a similar operation.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge and experience monitoring food and beverage performance, labor costs, and inventory control, including ordering and inventory procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork.
  • Service mindset that creates an atmosphere where guests want to return and delivers a positive, memorable experience.
  • Ability to routinely go above and beyond to support position responsibilities and organizational goals.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to project excitement and enthusiasm.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
