Guest Service Agent

Join Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram as a Guest Service Agent in Queens, NY (onsite). In this ambassador role, you help create smooth arrivals and departures while delivering the guest services and support that keep each stay running smoothly. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 20 and a team-focused work environment with strong employee benefits.

What you will do

As an Ambassador, you provide welcoming, consistent service by supporting guests throughout their stay and following the culture and standards of the Renaissance brand. You will also follow Marriott operational policies and procedures, including processes related to cash and credit card handling, safety and security, and overall service expectations.

• Support the Renaissance brand culture by acting with integrity, honesty, and brand knowledge, treating others with dignity and respect
• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs by verifying registration details and credit information, balancing bank, and posting charges
• Provide above-and-beyond assistance such as help with luggage, coffee, directions, wake-up calls, and future reservations
• Respond to guest and visitor inquiries with courteous, efficient information sharing
• Coordinate special arrangements for guest requests for services
• Inform guests about hotel services, features, and room amenities
• Answer hotel telephones courteously and efficiently in line with Renaissance standards

What you bring

• Customer service and cash handling experience required
• Schedule flexibility for AM/PM/Overnight shifts, plus weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in English; Chinese Mandarin is a plus
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly in a fast-paced, guest-facing role
• A genuine desire to meet others’ needs while working at a high tempo
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with Internet Explorer
• A sense of humor and self-confidence
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace, protect confidentiality, safeguard company assets, and uphold quality standards, including maintaining a professional uniform, appearance, and communication
• Be prepared to work on your feet and use a hands-on approach to moving and placing objects up to 50 lbs without assistance
