Hotel Houseman / Porter

Join the operations team at Times Square Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, where you help keep day-to-day spaces clean, safe, and ready for guests. This full-time onsite role combines housekeeping support, light maintenance, and guest assistance, with regular inspections to keep facilities in good working order. What you’ll do

• Clean common areas, back-of-house spaces, and the building exterior to support a well-maintained environment.
• Transport linens, laundry, garbage, deliveries, and guest luggage as needed.
• Support guest requests, including delivering fresh towels to guest rooms.
• Provide a light-security presence to help maintain a calm, orderly operation.
• Complete regular inspections to identify issues and help resolve them.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of experience in hotel maintenance, janitorial work, or facilities support.
• Ability to lift heavy items, and to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with confidence in handling day-to-day operational needs.
• Dependability and punctuality, with availability for various shifts including days, evenings, and overnights, plus weekdays and weekends.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service, along with excellent communication in English.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stay effective and composed under pressure.
• Certification as a Fire Guard or Fire Life Safety Director is a plus.
