Job Description
The Elizabeth Hotel in Fort Collins, CO seeks a Maintenance Technician to respond to engineering service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and repair hotel systems onsite.
Responsibilities
- Address guest requests promptly with professionalism, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs across hotel systems, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms.
- Oversee engineering operations when the full staff is not available, including weekends and evenings.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, threats, disasters, and power outages; coordinate with authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular rounds of the property to verify that systems and equipment are functioning properly.
- Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
- Process maintenance requests, record equipment and meter readings, and update logs for the next shift.
- Log parts used and note parts needed for future purchases.
- Troubleshoot and address elevator malfunctions.
- Maintain records for the Rooms Preventive Maintenance and Request programs.
- Submit work order requests daily in a timely manner.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Proficient in maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; capable of carpentry, general repairs, construction, and renovations.
- Possess the ability to drive a pickup truck and operate snow removal equipment as needed.
- Ability to maintain logs and records.
- Professional presentation, teamwork skills, and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent trade school.
