Job Description
The Hotel Night Auditor at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana in Bossier City, onsite, performs overnight front desk responsibilities, processes guest charges, balances daily financials, and supports guest services to ensure a smooth overnight operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all hotel features and services, operating hours, room types and numbers, layout, décor, appointments, and locations; stay informed on room rates, special packages and promotions; daily house counts, expected arrivals and departures; current room availability; and scheduled group activities.
- Follow all hotel and departmental policies and procedures for both front and back of house operations.
- Post charges to guest accounts that have not yet been posted or were incurred during the night audit shift.
- Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts as required.
- Ensure that charges are allocated to the correct departments.
- Verify that front desk transactions are supported by the necessary documentary evidence and signatures and correctly posted in the system.
- Track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics; review figures and documents for accuracy; record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information; execute End of Day procedures and follow the End of Day/Night Audit Checklist.
- Assist PBX with switchboard duties as needed.
- Extend complimentary items in accordance with the property comp matrix.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and directions for guests.
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff across all areas of guest service.
- Proficiency in data entry and accessing information in computer systems.
- Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide clear, accurate responses.
- Skill in promoting positive relations with individuals who approach the Front Desk and by telephone.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to remain calm and courteous while addressing guest needs.
- Ability to think clearly, quickly, and make concise decisions.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and follow-up abilities.
- Capable of working well under pressure with 50 plus arrivals and departures within a given period.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
- Ability to remain stationary at an assigned post for extended periods.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and team members.
