Hotel Room Inspector

Lead housekeeping quality on assigned shifts at St. James Hotel in Red Wing, MN, ensuring rooms are clean, maintained, and guest-ready.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect housekeeping work to confirm it meets specifications and established standards
• Inspect and evaluate the condition of hotel facilities to determine appropriate work needs
• Assign tasks to staff, including reviewing special requests and shift priorities to support efficient room turnover
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and problems by investigating and taking corrective action to protect guest satisfaction
• Coordinate with other departments to deliver services efficiently and on time
• Perform or assist with Rooms Division cleaning and other duties as needed
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to answer guest questions accurately

Requirements

• 2 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to maintain sanitation procedures and keep work areas organized while following all OSHA and local health department regulations
• Must be able to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed
• Collaborate effectively and communicate with team members across all levels of the organization
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Basic office skills; experience using a personal computer, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment
