House Attendant
Job Description
Based at Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown Center City, a property within the Pyramid Hotel Group family, this House Attendant role focuses on maintaining pristine public areas and assisting room attendants to ensure guest comfort. This onsite position in central Philadelphia emphasizes teamwork and guest-focused service, with a compensation of USD 17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to ensure their stay goes smoothly
- Collaborate with the team to achieve hotel cleanliness goals
- Walk all assigned floors at the start and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen
- Collect clean linen and replenish the linen stock on each floor pantry
- Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to guest rooms upon request
- Perform duties of a room attendant when necessary
- Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry
- Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during deep cleaning or spring cleaning
- Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner according to department SOPs
- Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and dispose of them properly
- Always respond to guests and teammates in a friendly, helpful manner
Requirements
- Housekeeping experience desirable
- Neat, pleasant personality
- Time management skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to move and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions and odors; maneuver carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
- Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 lbs
