Housekeeping Coordinator
Job Description
SW Hotel Management invites you to join an onsite Housekeeping Coordinator role in Los Angeles, CA. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $29 and a clear path to contribute to 100% guest satisfaction while delivering essential administrative support to the housekeeping team.
Responsibilities
- Engage guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous, service‑oriented manner.
- Generate sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing rooms.
- Document and resolve discrepant room issues with the Front Desk.
- Prepare maintenance work orders and distribute them to Engineering.
- Monitor guest satisfaction signals and use sound judgment to determine appropriate actions.
- Coordinate assignment, cleaning and distribution of rooms to staff.
- Provide administrative support to the Housekeeping Department.
- Answer phones and coordinate the fulfillment of guest requests.
- Follow up on the return of items.
- Complete work assignments for Room Attendants and other staff.
- Report room status to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, including out of order rooms, maintenance slips, and general cleaning progress.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Participate in all department inventories.
- Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel housekeeping or similar experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in a hotel is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Physical demands: Long hours, including nights and weekends; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly; ability to stand for extended periods.
