Laundry Attendant
Job Description
Onsite Laundry Attendant role in State College, PA focused on clean, pressed linen and guest service support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver guest service as the guiding philosophy of the operation
- Respond promptly to guest needs and model a service-first approach in day-to-day interactions
- Support guest satisfaction goals by meeting or exceeding guest satisfaction measures
- Follow Hotel Standards and guest service initiatives to ensure consistent service delivery
- Sort linen by type
- Load washers and dryers properly
- Use correct laundry procedures for folding and stacking
- Separate and re-wash linen using the proper procedures
- Collect dirty linen from guest rooms and assist with monthly inventory procedures
- Clean linen traps from dryers
- Wipe down equipment and report equipment malfunctions to management
- Sweep and mop laundry floors
- Remove trash at the end of each shift
- Transport soiled linen from guest hallways to the laundry area when needed
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards and scheduling needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag while working
- Comply with standards and regulations that support safe and efficient hotel operations
- Ensure linen is clean and available for use by hotel departments when needed
- Complete other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus relative experience in customer service
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors for optimum property operations
- Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems, and resolve issues

Salary
- USD 16 to 18 per hour

Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Sitting or standing as needed for extended periods
- Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, and lifting as required to file documents or store materials
- Proper lifting techniques required
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
