Maintenance Attendant
Job Description
Lakehouse Hotel and Resort is hiring a Maintenance Attendant to support day-to-day upkeep across the property in San Marcos, CA. In this onsite role, you will partner with the maintenance team to keep facilities safe, visually appealing, and responsive to both guest needs and security-related calls. The position also includes preventative maintenance issue reporting, janitorial support, and routine repairs throughout the hotel and resort grounds.
At Lakehouse Hotel and The Links, the Maintenance Attendant role blends hands-on maintenance work with property walk-throughs and timely response to requests. You’ll help maintain quality standards while following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, with regular attendance essential to keeping the property running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist the maintenance team with repairs and routine maintenance to uphold quality and safety standards
- Support janitorial and maintenance work as needed
- Respond to guest requests as expeditiously as possible
- Identify and report preventative maintenance issues and safety concerns
- Complete minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including television sets, light fixtures, and similar items
- Perform routine maintenance throughout the property
- Visually inspect fixtures, lighting, and other equipment for repairs or replacement needs
- Power wash to help maintain the property’s appearance
- Provide pool maintenance support as needed, including checking pH levels and completing visual checks
- Perform painting as needed throughout the property
- Support air conditioning upkeep and repair
- Conduct property safety and security walks to help secure the property
- Respond to security-related calls such as noise complaints and medical or fire-related incidents
- Assist with small projects throughout the property as assigned by Management
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Perform other reasonable tasks and duties assigned by Management
- Work onsite at the property location
Requirements
- General construction experience required
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Team player mindset and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit up to 8 hours in a single day
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional ability to sit, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear, taste, or smell
- Ability to work outdoors and handle exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, cold, direct sunlight, heat, and humidity
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
Schedule
- Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, schedules may vary to reflect business needs
- Work may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
- Onsite work at the property location is required

Compensation: USD 18 - 21 per hour. Location: San Marcos, CA (onsite).
