Maintenance Technician

Hotel 24 South in Staunton, VA is hiring a Maintenance Technician onsite to support preventive maintenance and daily upkeep across guest and operational areas.

Responsibilities

• Follow the preventive maintenance program timelines and scheduled tasks
• Review work orders and the night report to confirm assigned items to complete
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders, including:
  • Monitor and maintain laundry and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain guestrooms using the rooms preventive maintenance program
  • Change air-conditioning filters per the maintenance schedule
  • Inspect HVAC equipment and perform tasks as needed: filters, belts, bearings, and lubrication
  • Check HVAC operation for unusual noise or vibration and adjust as necessary
  • Change or repair locks as needed
  • Perform general maintenance in guestrooms and public areas
• Handle guest requests as assigned
• Assist in all phases of repair work
• Support other engineering personnel as directed by the supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned work area
• Use, clean, maintain, and store tools properly
• Handle chemicals for designated uses and surfaces
• Maintain security of assigned keys
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clean and professional appearance
• Ability to communicate clearly in speaking and writing
• Ability to use basic technology, including a smartphone and a computer
• Maintenance or building trades experience preferred

Pay

• USD 17 - 18 per hour
