Night Auditor

The Night Auditor position based on-site at Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center in Marlborough, MA combines overnight front desk duties with nightly accounting tasks. The role involves balancing and posting Front Office accounts, distributing daily reports, and maintaining guest records. Compensation ranges from USD 18 to 20 per hour, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with Front Desk and Audit functions
• Balance and post the Front Office accounts
• Distribute daily reports and other requested documents
• Follow nightly checklists to ensure all duties are completed; sign and date checklists each night
• Manage guest check-in and check-out needs, inquiries, and reported issues
• Obtain and verify essential guest information; ensure accuracy and completeness of records
• Assign guest rooms based on reservation requirements
• Read, maintain, and enter entries in the Front Desk logbook
• Oversee the issue of keys for other departments and maintain a log showing time and recipient
• Ensure timely wake-up calls and express checkout bills are delivered to guests
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures and any changes that may occur
• Maintain computerized hotel systems
• Responsible for requesting and inventorying supplies for the Audit staff
• Report any physical, financial, and personal discrepancies to Management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous hotel experience preferred but training is provided; ability to handle various customer relations
• Writing and typing skills
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
• Excellent verbal and listening communication
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational abilities
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to walk and sit as needed
• Capability to lift up to 25 pounds
