Night Auditor
Job Description
Valhalla Resort Hotel in Helen, Georgia seeks a Night Auditor to oversee the hotel's nightly front desk operations, perform the daily audit process, and deliver guest services that support accurate financial transactions and overall guest satisfaction. This onsite role offers a pay rate of $15 per hour and requires at least one year of hotel experience to ensure precise handling of transactions and guest interactions.
Responsibilities
- Process guest reservations, check-ins, check-outs, payments, and service requests in line with training materials and quality assurance standards.
- Administer the property management system proficiently.
- Adhere to uniform, identification, dress, and grooming standards.
- Maintain a friendly and hospitable demeanor with guests and coworkers.
- Remain at the front desk during all hours of operation and communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
- Address guest or security issues according to training.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of local attractions and amenities to assist guests.
- Keep the front desk and office, including files, clean and organized.
- Handle collections, including credit card and direct bill, in accordance with company policies.
- Accept reservations per company policies.
- Monitor competitor occupancy and rates to optimize pricing.
- Maximize occupancy.
- Complete all required documentation (daily reports, checklists, etc.) promptly.
- Quote daily rates accurately and issue credits per company philosophy, using sound judgment.
- Maintain control over keys, company and guest property, and confidential information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
- Experience in accurate cash handling and credit card processing.
- Experience protecting confidential information, including guest registrations and credit card data.
- Experience using computers, data entry, and basic accounting tasks.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Customer-focused with the ability to anticipate guest needs and respond professionally in varied settings.
- Strong listening skills to understand guest wishes.
- Composure to work under pressure and resolve guest concerns.
- Approachability to facilitate effective communication with guests and team members.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.
