Night Auditor
Job Description
Hotel Indigo in Nashville, TN is hiring a Night Auditor onsite. This overnight role supports smooth end-of-day accounting while helping guests during late hours. You’ll have a competitive hourly salary (USD 21–23), an annual review with increase potential, and a 401k program with company match, along with the possibility of additional benefits.
What You’ll Do
As the Night Auditor, you’ll oversee the overnight audit process and accounting functions that prepare the hotel for the next day’s check-outs. Your work will help maintain accurate financial records, support daily reporting, and ensure transactions are properly documented and assigned.
- Review front office accounting records for accuracy and summarize information for the hotel’s financial records
- Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics
- Prepare a daily summary of cash, check, and credit card activity that reflects the hotel’s financial performance
- Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts, including transactions not posted by the front office cashier
- Process guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers
- Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts and confirm charges are assigned to the appropriate departments
- Verify that front desk transactions are supported by documentary evidence and signatures
- Print and file reservations for the next business day
- Monitor coupon, discount, and other promotional program status
- Support late-night operations by performing check-ins and check-outs and providing wake-up calls
- Summarize results of operations for management and balance daily charges, making corrections as needed
- Respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints
- Complete additional assigned tasks as needed during the shift
What You Bring
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of hotel front desk experience
- Knowledge of basic principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts
- Ability to operate front office equipment
- Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
