Job Description

As the Night Auditor at Delafield Hotel, you will support the overnight operations by auditing and balancing day activity, overseeing front desk presentation, and delivering professional guest service during check-in and check-out. The role focuses on accurate posting and verification of account transactions, effective handling of guest requests, and completion of required reporting and filings.

Location and Schedule

Onsite: Delafield, WI

Pay

Hourly: USD 18–20

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest encountered and maintain a welcoming presence throughout the shift.
  • Assist and accommodate guest needs within established capability and authority.
  • Post room charges, taxes, and all other revenues to guest accounts accurately.
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts as required.
  • Verify account posting and confirm balances for accuracy.
  • Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
  • Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activity.
  • Summarize results of operations for management and complete proper filing and reporting of statistics.
  • Apply auditing, balancing, and account close-out principles to complete end-of-day procedures.
  • Operate the property management system and other front office equipment.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures according to established processes.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints in a professional manner.
  • Use proper procedures for mail, packages, and message handling.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette.
  • Write legibly and complete fax and copy tasks as needed.
  • Perform Manager on Duty functions.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Effective conflict management and decision-making abilities.
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
