Job Description

At The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, FL, the Night Supervisor ensures the property runs smoothly from both the day and overnight perspectives. This onsite role provides leadership during nighttime hours, serving as the main point of contact for guests while supporting operational efficiency, security, and compliance with company standards and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA).

From managing late arrivals and VIP check-ins to completing nightly audit procedures and end-of-day financial reconciliation, you help keep service seamless and the hotel operating with precision. The position also partners closely with on-duty security to maintain a safe environment for both guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations during day and overnight shifts, maintaining exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and security in line with elevated company expectations and LQA.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guests during nighttime hours to support a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and emergencies with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manage late check-ins, early check-outs, and VIP arrivals while ensuring guest preferences are met.
  • Monitor front office and public areas for cleanliness, comfort, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Demonstrate luxury service behaviors through professionalism and accountability.
  • Maintain awareness of occupancy, room status, and special arrivals or departures.
  • Work closely with on-duty security personnel to help ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Ensure all departments operate efficiently according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Complete nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and balancing the front desk system.
  • Ensure accurate end-of-day processing, billing, and revenue reconciliation.
  • Prepare and distribute nightly audit reports for management and accounting teams.
  • Follow correct cash-handling procedures and comply with financial and internal control policies.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms, guest disturbances, and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Support a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment.
  • Assist with daily reporting, shift audits, and operational documentation as required.
  • Assist with forecasting and occupancy management for the following day’s operations.
  • Maintain compliance with hotel policies, confidentiality, safety regulations, and luxury service protocols, supporting an ultra-luxury service culture aligned with the hotel’s vision.
  • Foster a guest-focused, service-oriented culture consistent with the hotel’s ultra-luxury standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hospitality, hotel operations, or supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • College degree in Hospitality Management (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Schedule availability for a hybrid shift: 2 nights and 3 day shifts each week.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems, including PMS, CRM, POS, and Opera, with a deep understanding of guest service operations.
  • Full-Time position.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, sit at a desk, and work at a computer.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
