Job Description

As a Part-Time Night Auditor at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel in Lakewood, CO, you will support overnight Front Desk operations and help keep guest transactions and daily close accurate. You will monitor what happens during the night, assist guests as needed, and complete the nightly audit to ensure daily financial activity is balanced and properly closed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the nightly audit of hotel transactions and ensure daily financial activity is accurately balanced.
  • Check guests in and out, assign rooms, process payments, and maintain accurate guest accounts.
  • Assist guests with questions, requests, concerns, and hotel and local-area information.
  • Prepare and distribute required daily reports to hotel leadership.
  • Monitor overnight hotel activity and security, responding appropriately to emergencies or disturbances.
  • Process cash, credit card, and other financial transactions accurately, ensuring proper posting to guest accounts.
  • Maintain clear communication with the incoming shift and hotel leadership regarding guest concerns, operational issues, and other important information.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and a professional appearance in the Front Desk and surrounding work areas.
  • Provide overnight guest services such as wake-up calls and other assistance as needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems and escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to address overnight guest and operational needs.
  • Participate in department meetings, training, and ongoing initiatives related to guest service, Front Office operations, financial procedures, and hotel standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable using computers and hotel management software.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with financial information and numbers.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Work Environment and Equipment

  • Primarily a hotel environment at the Front Desk and surrounding guest areas.
  • Regular use of computers, phones, hotel management systems, and standard office equipment.
  • Regular interaction with hotel guests and responsibility for overnight Front Office operations.
  • Team members are expected to follow all applicable hotel, safety, sanitation, security, and brand standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and remain in a stationary position for extended periods as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Visual and auditory ability to safely operate computers, phones, and other standard office equipment and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including typing and writing.

Job Type: Part time. Pay: USD 20 - 21 per hourly. Location: Onsite in Lakewood, CO.
