Public Area Attendant

This House Attendant role supports Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and security across public areas and offices. The position also helps Room Attendants by preparing rooms for the next guest. The onsite role is based in Kapaa, HI, with an hourly rate listed at USD 24.40 (salary in posting shown as USD 24 per hourly).

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas using appropriate tools and chemicals, including confirming that no items are stored in stairwells, repositioning furniture to the correct layout, and checking for and removing debris.
• Set up and maintain cleaning carts with the correct supplies and equipment to support timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Support safety and security by safeguarding assigned keys, treating sensitive areas with care, and helping protect guest privacy.
• Assist Room Attendants by stripping rooms and preparing them for the next guest, maintaining detail-focused service throughout the process.
• Inspect furniture for damage such as rips, tears, or stains, and report any issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred or a plus.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Flexible availability.

Compensation

Hourly pay is listed at USD 24.40. The posting also shows USD 24 per hourly.
