Public Space Attendant

Join Hotel Equities Group, LLC as a Public Space Attendant in Honolulu, HI (onsite), helping maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Push vacuum the full length of hallways
• Carry supplies from the department to assigned floors
• Transport dirty linen to the laundry chute
• Dust by bending and kneeling to reach all areas; retrieve items as needed
• Move through assigned spaces to service shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, and areas under and around furniture
• Perform continuous standing and/or walking to complete required tasks
• Climb stairs, approximately 40 steps for about 15% of the 40-hour workweek
• Greet guests and respond to special requests
• Address guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions appropriately; refer to management to support superior guest service
• Collect waste and/or contaminated materials for proper disposal
• Service assigned areas that may include guestrooms, hallways, lobby, stairwells, and offices
• Maintain privacy and security by properly announcing entry and servicing guestrooms as appropriate
• Use and maintain assigned equipment and supplies per departmental specifications (including vacuums, chemicals, and cleaning aides)
• Observe and maintain common areas, including floor closets, stairwells, halls, lobby areas, and elevators
• Maintain the daily log: document completed tasks, account for issued keys, and review the communications log and file routinely
• Handle lost and found items according to department policies and security procedures
• Keep the immediate supervisor promptly informed of problems or matters of significance
• Work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Complete other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Commitment to 100% guest satisfaction
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use a step ladder for basic cleaning duties
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Maintain patient, tactful composure with guests, staff members, and visitors
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
